2001 Photos - On The Streets Of New York
Freedom Fliers spread out around the city and spent time (and money!) sightseeing,
shopping, patronizing restaurants and attending Broadway shows. They were intent
on doing their part, however small, to help boost New York’s stricken
economy and to save the jobs of cabbies, waitresses, bell hops and all others
whose livelihoods depended on tourism. The Freedom Fliers had purpose, and they
had passion. They came with thousands of custom-made Oregon Loves NY stickers
which they slapped on anything and everything in sight!
